Unicom's Telecoms Service offers a wide range of services and features which you
can apply to your telephone line. The features are outlined below:

UU Caller Display
This feature shows the telephone number of the caller on the screen so you can see
who is calling before answering the call.
A phone with a display function is required for this service.
UU 1471 Extra
'UU 1471' is dialled to hear details of up to the last five calls, together with
the time and date (unless withheld or from an exchange where the Calling Line Identity
is not available). After dialling '1471' instructions will be given advising how
to use the service.
UU Call Sign
This feature allows the customer to distinguish between incoming calls on the same
line.
UU Call Barring
Allows the customer to choose to stop certain types of calls being made, eg. all
calls, all international calls, premium rate calls but not 999 or 151 calls.
Customers can also stop calls coming in to their phone. A pin number is provided
for security reasons and can be changed at any time.
UU 1 Month Call Redirect
Caller Redirect is a service provided at your local exchange that informs incoming callers of the dialled numbers new telephone number. This is most frequently used when a number cannot be retained during a Change of Address process.
This feature lasts for one month.
UU Anonymous Call Rejection
This feature allows customers to block calls from people who withhold their number
when calling.
UU 3 Month Call Redirect
Caller Redirect is a service provided at your local exchange that informs incoming callers of the dialled numbers new telephone number. This is most frequently used when a number cannot be retained during a Change of Address process.
This feature lasts for three month.
UU Choose to Refuse
Bar numbers that you do not wish to speak to again. This feature only applies to
numbers of calls already received.
UU 3 Way Calling
Connect with two other phone lines during a single call. Save time by talking to
two people at the same time.
UU 1571
A phone messaging service. Allows call messages to be managed and received.
UU Reminder Call
Create reminders allocated for a certain time and your phone will ring as required.
UU Called Party Answer
CPA - using a line reversal, indicates to customer equipment that
the Called Party or the Called Party’s network has answered. Using suitable equipment
that can both detect the line reversal signal and analyse the digits called, customers
can determine when charging has started for all directly dialled chargeable calls
on the BT network as well as certain calls terminating on other networks. This feature
is commonly used in conjunction with PBX systems, in hotels.
UU Call Diversion
Call diversion enables a customer to have all their calls diverted to another number
(any number in the UK, most overseas destinations or a mobile phone).
A customer can choose to divert all calls, divert on no reply or divert when the
line is busy.
UU Called Party Answer (Set Up Charge)
An inital set up charge.
UU Call Waiting
A gentle beep alerts the customer there is another call waiting. The customer can
then choose to finish their original call or to swap between both calls.
UU Smart Divert
Similar to call divert only you can change the number the calls are diverted to
remotely. This means you do not need to be at the address where the line that is
having the calls diverted from terminates.
UU Ring Back
If the customer makes a call and the line is engaged then a call back can be arranged
at the press of a button. The call back will be made when the line is next free.

There is a single charge to set up UU Smart Divert.
UU 1471
Discover the telephone number of the last call to a line.
UU Call Minder Standard
This service calls and records messages if there is no reply or the line is engaged.
Call minder can store up to 30 messages. Each message can be a maximum length of
5 minutes.
